The warm sun beating down on your skin, the sound of laughter and children playing in the background, the sweet scent of freshly cut grass lingering in the air. These are the sensory delights that come with the summertime. As a parent, you want to make the most out of this season and create lasting memories with your children. A summer bucket list can help you accomplish just that.

As a single twin mom, I know firsthand how important it is to keep kids entertained during the summer. That’s why I am always on the lookout for fun and engaging activities to do with my kids. Last week, we visited the Children’s Museum and it was an instant hit with my boys. They had a blast playing and exploring the exhibits. The experience was so much fun that it got me thinking about all the other adventures we could have this summer.

Despite the unpredictable weather here in Colorado, I am eager to get outside and enjoy the warmth of the sun. I can’t wait to take my boys to the zoo and watch their faces light up as they see their favorite animals up close. I also have plans to take them to the pool and waterpark to splash around and cool off. In this blog post, I will share some more ideas for your summer bucket list, so you too can create unforgettable memories with your family.

Why You Need A Summer Bucket List

Life with toddlers can be pretty hectic making it easy to forget certain things you may have wanted to do. Without a plan for the summer, you’ll find yourself constantly wondering what to do with bored kids who need to be entertained.

Having a bucket list of activities ready to go allows you to be prepared so you and your family can have an unforgettable summer. For single moms, it can be a challenge juggling everything and that’s why this is a great idea.

Simply print out the printable I provide at the end of this post and write down the activities you plan on doing. You can go a step further and plan them out in your calendar so you know the exact days that would work best for each activity.

This will reduce your stress and guarantee that you’ll have a fun time with your kids!
